Pathways Pledge Ceremony

Our Pathways Pledge Ceremony at the Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School on August 15, with almost 500 people attending.

 

Students from all five Beacon schools, along with sponsors, supporters and members of the community joined together to celebrate the Real Futures program.

Our keynote speaker was former Rochester Secondary student Jason McCurry. Jason shared his journey from leaving Rochester to attend Uni in Melbourne, what led him to his current career and his passion for inclusion and advocacy for people living with a disability.

 

The Pathways Pledge is a public commitment, where students acknowledge that they are ready to make the most of their futures, and that they will have open minds when considering their career pathways.

 

Community members are invited to pledge their support in assisting our young people in their journey.

 

Signing the Pledge Boards is the evidence of commitment to the pledge, and the boards will be displayed in each school, on show for all to see.
